The Overhead Squat
Targets: Shoulders Stabilisers, Core, Legs
Description: This exercise is used by many as a technique assessment to determine postural imbalances but it is also a terrific mobility exercise for the shoulders, thoracic spine, hip and ankles. For many this may be too advanced for now but in time with training you should aim to comfortably be able to perform this exercise with an un-weighted bar above your head.
Start with an un-weighted bar and determine what is the major area that is causing you any issues in the movement and begin retraining that area to help you with this squat.
