Overhead Tricep Extension

Targets: Abdominals, Triceps

Technique for the variation above is:

  1. Pick up the cable and adjust so the cable is just above head height.
  2. Take the cable and step forward to kneeling.
  3. Stabilise through the core and keep neutral spine and be careful not to bloat the abdominals.
  4. Keep the elbows in tight (like a basketball is being held between them) and extend the arms to lockout.
  5. Allow a slight pause on extension to ‘feel’ the arms as well as in full flexed position to stretch the triceps and again ‘feel’ them become activated.
