A moderate cardio workout may be used on a recovery day if you are feeling good or at the end of a weight training session to burn additional calories. Longer intervals are genuinely used for instance;
- 90 seconds to 4 mins with 50% rest.
Try the following workouts
- 6 sets of 2 on 1 off on the bike
- 3 sets of 5 minute running intervals with a 2 minute break between each
- Boxing technique for 20 minutes
- A circuit session of 2 minutes per exercise with one minute break.
- What do you want to do for 20 minutes that will push you to an average of 75% max heart rate for that time!
