Russian Twist with Variations Demonstrated

Targets: Entire abdominals and oblique muscles

  1. Sitting on the bones in your backside, elevate, retract and depress your shoulders with your head back and chin tucked in to find neutral spine, whilst having your feet out at 90 degree’s with your toes lifted.
  2. Hollow your abdominal region by drawing in!
  3. Turn only your upper body and keep your hips and below stable to isolate the rotation coming from the abdominals.
  4. Do not round or lose neutral spine and poke your head forward. Technique is everything here guys!
